I spent last weekend with Haley and some of her extended family on a farm just (~40mins) outside moree in north west NSW. It was a very nice change of pace and scenery, ‘escaping’, if you will, from the isolating austerity of the big city life.
Of most interest, was the resounding pride and joy that was constantly evident listening to stories and adventures tied in with their lives on the farm. While nature and the land seem to often be rather harsh and unforgiving, waking up to the expansive views and sights the land provides are a true, constant, blessing.
While the country life definitely is not for me, I truly appreciate the hard work, time, effort and skill of those who choose to make it their life.
I snapped heaps of pictures over the weekend, so im sure there will be a few popping up around my virtual worlds.
