I recently purchased a (Cosina) Voigtlander Bessa R rangefinder and have been using it with a Jupiter 8 50mm f/2 lens. Im loving the portability, simplicity and speed of this setup and most definately the surprising quality it produces.
This was shot while i was setting up for a show in november 2012 with Kate martin at the workers club, melbourne.

I haven’t posted much of anything for the last few months, I have been super busy with more important/interesting things to do than trawl through pages of meaningless dribble. More-so, im struggling to justify my existence on this consumption-ridden platform.
Social platforms have a place for sure, but im learning more and more that they have a tendency to hinder any form of progressive creativity and destroy any dreams of sustained productivity.
While I sip my tea and debate whether or not micro-blogging is for me, here is an image that summarises my 2011.

ACE, not as fun as the first time I saw them but equally as brilliant, less inside jokes and awkward banter next time though, please.

Alot more interesting and a much better performance than last time I saw them at OAF, dreambeat is still a terrible song though and I would love to see more ‘a mouthful of gold’ in the set than just swimming pool.

To be brutally honest? mediocre, monotonic set. None of the energy of the middle east circa ‘06/07.
